Elton Barker: Pelagios and Recogito

Dr. Elton Barker (The Open University / Pelagios Network) presents the free open-source tool, Recogito, which makes it easy for users to annotate digital documents (texts, images, databases) without coding expertise. He explores the different kinds of annotation that you can perform (on places, people and other entities), and discusses its collaborative possibilities and different data outputs. The talk also introduces the Pelagios Network (https://pelagios.org/ ), which is an association of equal and interdependent partners dedicated to developing linked open data for historical resources.
